The Adventures of Eddie and Charlie
The Adventures of Eddie and Charlie is a heartwarming children’s book series I illustrate, inspired by my two real-life dogs, Edward and Charlie. Created in collaboration with my two sisters—who write the stories—the series is a true family project, full of love, imagination, and meaningful messages for young readers.
Each book follows Eddie and Charlie on heartwarming adventures that explore friendship, courage, kindness, and facing and overcoming challenges. My illustrations aim to bring their personalities to life and support each story’s emotional core through expressive digital artwork.
Eddie’s day starts all wrong—OJ in his cereal, salt in his coffee, and trouble reading! Charlie thinks he needs glasses, but Eddie’s nervous about the eye doctor. With Charlie’s help, he faces his fears, discovers the eye exam isn’t so scary, and with his new glasses, he can finally read any book he wants!
Burt the Buckskin was born with hearing loss and has never truly heard the sound of his favorite place—the ocean. But that’s about to change. With new hearing aids and the support of his friends, Eddie and Charlie, Burt embarks on a heartwarming journey to discover the beautiful sounds he’s been missing.
Meet Edward and Charlie—the real-life dogs behind The Adventures of Eddie and Charlie
Edward (aka Eddie) is a cranky but lovable cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix. He’s a big fan of long naps, short hikes, and just about any snack you offer—but especially cheese. Edward prefers things calm and quiet, and he’s happiest when he has all the attention (and treats) to himself.
Charlie is a standard poodle/goldendoodle mix with endless energy and a sweet—but mischievous—personality. He loves playing with his jolly ball, going on long walks, and catching ice cubes from the ice machine. His favorite spot? Curled up on the AC vent in front of the window.
Together, they’re the heart and inspiration behind every story—bringing joy, adventure, and plenty of personality to every page.
